18-year-old charged over alleged assault

An 18-year-old male has been charged in connection with an alleged serious assault in Alness.

Officers were called to the Coulpark area of the town at around 9pm on Wednesday and discovered that a 39-year-old woman had sustained serious injuries. She was treated at Raigmore Hospital.

An 18-year-old male has been charged in connection with the incident and was expected to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court yesterday. In addition, a 15-year-old male and a 35-year-old man were charged with alleged disorder offences.
