Queen Mother’s secret picnic lodge for sale

-

A stunning hunting lodge that was once used as a secret picnic getaway for the Queen Mother has gone on the market for £475,000.

Dorrery Lodge, built by the Crown more than 100 years ago, features King Edward VII’S Royal cypher on its tower.

Built in 1904, the Highland home in Caithness was frequented by the late Queen Mother.

Owner John Ferguson said: “The Queen Mother would go fishing on Loch Caluim that was once on the Dorrery ground and she would use the hut for lunch.”
