Thousands flock to Meadows Festival

Thousands basked in the sunshine at the annual Meadows Festival in Edinburgh over the weekend.

The free, volunteer-run weekend of music, family activities and stalls is one of the leading events in the city’s cultural calendar, with 25,000 people thought to have turned up over the weekend.

Acts such as Big Fat Panda, Be Charlotte and La Boum took to the stage. There was also Yoga and cheerleadi­ng.
