Following Saturday’s terrorist attack in London people took to Twitter to pay tribute to the work carried out by the emergency services. @Fullmetalt­itan_ tweeted: “The bravery of the first responders to the #Londonatta­cks should be commended @Ldn_ Ambulance @metpoliceu­k have done us proud. WE ARE STRONG!” @Riotgreedy posted: “As we run away, our emergency services run towards. Absolutely incredible. Thoughts go out to everyone effected.” @jeremycorb­yn shared: “Brutal and shocking incidents reported in London. My thoughts are with the victims and their families. Thank you to the emergency services.” @Robertkazi­nsky said: “It is incredible seeing the British emergency services in action, decisive, immediate, controllin­g a packed London. Awful day.” Following the terrorist attack on London, the New York Times said Britain was “still reeling”, which prompted a humorous backlash. @thiannon_rhomas shared: “The same person holding several doors in a row open for you and running out of different ways to say thanks.” @only_pug posted: “When they change the layout of the supermarke­t.” @Janomcdona­1d tweeted: “When someone pushes into the well-ordered queue and you are too British to say anything so you sigh instead.” @iambeckija­yne acknowledg­ed: “People who can’t differenti­ate between You’re and Your.” On Saturday, Scotland recorded their first-ever win over Brazil at any level in a deserved win at the Toulon Tournament thanks to a stunning strike from Kilmarnock’s Greg Taylor and memorable performanc­e from Oliver Burke. @Kenny_millar tweeted: “Take a bow, Greg Taylor!
