Man rescued by lifeboat at Eilean Donan castle

A rescue crew went to the aid of a man after he slipped on rocks on the shoreline below Eilean Donan Castle near Dornie in the Highlands.

The 48-year-old is thought to have fractured an ankle in the fall on Saturday afternoon. The Scottish Ambulance Service called for the help of the RNLI because of the man’s location on the seashore rocks. Alifeboat was launched and took the man to the shore.
