Enough hot air

SNP MPS were found wanting before indyref1, contrary to Mary Thomas’s opinion (Letters, 3 June). House of Commons committees are where MPS do the real heavy lifting, as opposed to grandstanding in the House. The SNP boycotted the Scottish Affairs Committee. I know. I was interrogated in depth by its Scottish Labour and Lib Dem MP members (and a coopted Tory) in January 2014 on higher education and research. The SNP seat was empty.
