Boost for Scottish golf as hub launches
A new indoor golf hub has been unveiled by one of Scotland’s top golfing officials.
The £25,000 purpose built centre, which features a putting green and golf simulator, was opened by Martin Slumbers, chief executive of the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, at the independent Beaconhurst school in Bridge of Allan, near Stirling. Leaders at the hub said the school’s professional golf coach, Tim Mitchell, and pupils from its golf development squad were key to the initiative which has been in progress for the past three years.
