Prince launches Invictus Games
Prince Harry launched the 2018 Invictus Games in Sydney yesterday and began the official countdown to the Paralympic-style tournament.
Harry joined Australia’s prime minister Malcolm Turnbull and governor-general Sir Peter Cosgrove for the event marking 500 days to the start of the internation- al championship for injured, wounded and sick military personnel and veterans.
All three gave speeches at Admiralty House, the official residence of the governorgeneral, and members of Australia’s 2017 Invictus Games squad were among the invited audience.
Next year, more than 500 competitors from 17 nations will take part in 11 adaptive sports across Greater Sydney. 0 Prince Harry helped launch the Invictus Games in Sydney
