New non-exec at Galliford Try

Construction and housebuilding group Galliford Try has appointed the finance boss of Rentokil to its board.

Jeremy Townsend, chief financial officer of the pest control company, will join as a nonexecutive director from the beginning of September. His appointment comes as audit committee chairman Andrew Jenner steps down after nine years.
