Marciano: Hibs talk to Ashdod

-

Hibs may have to agree to Israeli club Ashdod’s 50 per cent sell-on clause if they are to sign goalkeeper Ofir Marciano on a permanent deal.

According to reports in Israel, Hibs cannot afford to pay Ashdod’s valuation of the player and the clubs are now said to be negotiating an alternative arrangement that would allow Hibs to pay a nominal sum.

That could see the keeper, who played 29 games on loan for Hibs last season, effectively being half owned by each club.
