Chic ft. Nile Rodgers

The world’s greatest party band take over Glasgow’s beautiful bandstand for two nights of ideal al fresco boogie music as part of Glasgow’s West End Fiesta. Guitarist and bandleader Nile Rodgers, above, helped to create one of the most timelessly appealing pop aesthetics by blending classic funk with the emerging disco sound of the New York clubs of the mid-70s, delivering it with the dressed-up, aspirational style of Roxy Music – and 40 years later, Chic classics such as Good Times, Le Freak and Everybody Dance are as irresistible as ever. ■
