Bloodaxe Poets Showcase

Four Scottish poets published by Bloodaxe read together at the SPL: Tracey Herd’s last collection was shortlisted for the TS Eliot Prize, Cheryl Follo was shortlisted for the Shiva Naipaul Memorial prize in 2012, Macgillivray is the pen-name of Scottish writer, performance artist and musician Kirsten Norrie and Miriam Nash, whose debut was recently published by Bloodaxe, was Writer in Residence at Agatha Christie’s holiday home Greenway last year.

In the Ink Dark

Performed by visual artists and dancers, In the Ink Dark is based on a series of conversations that took place this summer with people based in Edinburgh about landscape and loss. Luke Pell draws on the conversations to make objects, dances and installations. In the Ink Dark is an immersive project with different moments and modes of participation, an accumulative poem and choreography that can only be made by the many people it meets with. As ambitious as it is moving, you won’t see anything else like In the Ink Dark this year.
