Robert Noble Centenary Exhibition
Robert Noble died in 1917. Although unjustly rather forgotten now, he was a distinguished landscape painter. He made his home in East Linton where others joined him to create an East Lothian school of landscape. He was also the first president of the SSA, helping to shape its progressive character. Now an exhibition in the John Gray Centre in Haddington marks his centenary and reminds us of his contribution to Scottish art.
