Mundell reappointed to cabinet with ‘reset’ pledge
David Mundell has said he wants to “reset” the relationship between the Scottish and UK governments after being reappointed as Scotland Secretary in Theresa May’s postelection reshuffle.
The Borders MP, who has held the role since 2015, said his priority was securing “the right Brexit deal” with new powers for Scotland.
Mr Mundell said: “We need to work closely with the Scottish Government, and to do that effectively we will need to forge a much more constructive relationship, one based not on politics and press releases but on what is best for Scotland.”
