Police appeal for witnesses after fatal A74 crash

A man has been killed in an early morning crash between two cars.

Emergency services were called to the scene at junction 18 of the A74(M) near Lockerbie at around 4.45am on Monday.

The crash involved a silver BMW and a grey Ford Kuga.

One man died at the scene and another was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary for treatment before he was later released.

Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them and want to speak to the driver of a grey Toyota that passed the scene.
