Lorry driver banned after truck toppled

A lorry driver was banned from the road yesterday after his truck tipped over and crashed into a car.

Neil Davidson, 27, was injured after the HGV toppled on a windy road when he drove carelessly at excessive speed.

The accident happened while he was transporti­ng goods from a farm on the B9025 near Bridgend at Forglen.

Davidson, of Banff, in Aberdeensh­ire, had previous conviction­s for dangerous driving and also careless driving in 2008 and was banned from driving and fined £450 at Banff Sheriff Court.
