Science park to expand after planning nod

Edinburgh Technopole Science Park in Penicuik is set to get bigger after planners approved expansion proposals.

The move by leaders at Midlothian Council clears the way for construction of three new office and laboratory buildings. Councillor Russell Imrie said: “Approving this application... will create jobs and cement Midlothian’s reputation as a centre for excellence in life sciences and scientific research. We know there are companies which are keen to locate soon to Edinburgh Technopole, which makes this an urgent matter.”
