‘Bat-signal’ tribute to Caped Crusader star Adam West
The “Bat-signal” is projected on to Los Angeles City Hall in a tribute to late actor Adam West.
West, who portrayed the Caped Crusader in the classic 1966-68 Batman TV series, died on 9 June.
He passed away after a “short but brave battle” with leukaemia, his family said. West began acting in films in the 1950s and went on to appear in a number of productions.
He played opposite Chuck Connors in Geronimo (1962) and The Three Stooges in The Outlaws is Coming (1965).
The Bat-signal was used in the TV show when Gotham City Police Department needed to summon the superhero.
