Solas Festival

If you’re looking for a fresh festival experience, this multi-arts, familyfriendly boutique midsummer festival might be it – it’s certainly the only festival offering “Gaelic foraging” on its diverse menu. Musical guests span the pop, folk and indie spectrum – C Duncan, Lau, Ricky Ross & Emma Pollock, above, Rab Noakes and Emily Smith plus a host of newer acts such as Pronto Mama and The Van T’s all feature, in addition to a programme of panels and debates, readings from the likes of James Kelman and Helen Sedgwick, dance, poetry, storytelling and crafts.
