Hammond puts boot into Tory campaign after being shut out

Philip Hammond has attacked the Conservative election campaign, saying it failed to address the economy and complaining that he was prevented from playing a full role.
The Chancellor pointedly refused to say how long Theresa May would remain in power, as he said the Tories would have “probably done better” if they ran on their economic record.
