Climber airlifted after 12-hour mountain rescue
A climber was airlifted to hospital after he fell in the northern Cairngorms on Saturday.
The man fell up to 10ft onto a small ledge at Shettlestone Crag in Moray.
Braemar, Cairngorm and Aberdeen mountain rescue teams were called to the area on Saturday afternoon.
A coastguard helicopter joined in the 12-hour rescue effort, which was described as “complex and technical”.
