Democratic act

President Donald Trump is vilified because he withdrew America from the Paris climate agreement.

It should be remembered that the Paris Accord was pushed through against the declared will of America’s elected representatives by Barack Obama using his presidential powers. Not very democratic. The US has now refused to sign the Group of Seven pledge that calls the Paris climate accord the “irreversible” global tool to address climate change.

The Republican-led Senate had repeatedly warned international leaders that they would reject the Paris deal which Barack Obama had forced through.

President Trump listened to the American people and was elected after promising he would cancel the Paris agreement. That is democracy.
