No excuse for fear

I have been profoundly disturbed by comments on social media saying that the attack by a van driver at a gathering of Muslims outside Finsbury Park Mosque was in some way justified to avenge for recent attacks in London and Manchester, and that the attack on Muslims was somehow different. The aim at the heart of all terrorism, no matter what its method of delivery or target, is to cause fear and division. It is an absolute disgrace that British people should not feel safe in the heart of London on a Saturday night out and it is also an absolute disgrace that Muslims returning home from worship should be fearful. I say to those hiding behind a keyboard typing vitriol, get a grip. Terrorism is terrorism,there is no acceptable or justifiable terrorism. All people have the right to live free from fear.
