No more pigeons in your garden if you win Tynecastle’s resident owl in auction of memorabilia

-

Have you ever wanted a turnstile in the entrance to your home? Are you one of those guys who gets dressed in a suit to play Football Manager, and would like an authentic backdrop in which to give your press conferences? What about fake owls? Do you like them for… some reason?

Well, look no further than the Gorgie Suite this Sunday, where all of these items and more will be available for auction as Hearts sell off the remaining items left behind in the old main stand at Tynecastle.

The event starts at 11am and will be hosted by Hearts’ stadium announcer Scott Wilson as the club look to continue raising funds for the construction of the new main stand. In addition to the items already mentioned, there are bath tubs, signed tops, a special edition malt made to celebrate John Robertson’s cup hat-trick against St Mirren, signed jerseys, cow parade cows and so much more. Doors will open at 10am and guests will be treated with breakfast and a beverage, along with an auction catalogue before the bidding gets underway. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £6 for children. 0 A pair of bathtubs from the home dressing room will feature in Hearts’ auction along with, left, this fibreglass owl which for many years stood guard over Tynecastle’s main stand to scare off pigeons.
