Hundreds of taxi drivers from across Glasgow yesterday gave children with additional support need a day to remember thanks to the annual Glasgow Taxi

Outing Fund trip. The tradition, which dates back to 1945, sees the drivers don fancy dress costumes, before whisking their young passengers to the South Ayrshire seaside resort of Troon. Wellwishers including Lord Provost Eva Bolander lined the city’s streets to send the drivers on their way.
