Ruthless people?

Success has gone to Ruth Davidson’s head all too quickly since her general election successes. Not only is she reported to be keen to have a failed candidate get a seat in the Lords to become a Scottish Office Minister – when the able Annabel Goldie already sits there – the Scottish Conservative Leader now wants to upset the apple cart by disallowing the next candidate on European Parliament List to replace Ian Duncan MEP when he goes.

It was bad enough voters losing the right to choose individual candidates or parties in European Parliament elections without party leaders meddling with the list presented on the ballot papers to voters at the time.
