Trial date set for man accused of double murder

A man accused of murdering two people in Dundee is to stand trial in September.

Julie Mckenzie Mccash, 43, and David Sorrie, 32, died in the city’s Drumlanrig Drive on 26 February.

Robert Stratton, 43, is accused of striking Ms Mckenzie Mccash on the body with a knife and murdering her.

He is also charged with running towards Mr Sorrie while brandishin­g two knives, pursuing him, striking him on the body with a knife and murdering him.

Lord Burns fixed a trial date for 13 September at Edinburgh’s High Court.
