Work on £500m housing scheme to begin soon

Work on a £500 million housing developmen­t which it is hoped will transform Inverness and invigorate the Highland economy is due to begin in weeks.

The Hazledene developmen­t will feature 1,500 high-quality homes, surroundin­g a new town centre with retail, leisure and community facilities.

Housing minister Kevin Stewart has announced that constructi­on work will begin in August

The new community at Stratton will be located on the outskirts of Inverness, on land adjoining Inverness Retail Park.
