Celtic say no to Linfield tickets

Celtic have announced they will not take up their ticket allocation for next month’s possible Champions League qualifier away to Linfield.

Uefa confirmed the firstleg tie in Belfast will take place on Friday 14 July with a 5pm kick-off should the Northern Irish champions make it past San Marino minnows La Fiorita.

The original dates would have seen Celtic in Belfast at the height of the marching season on 11/12 July, sparking fears of trouble.

“No tickets will be available for Celtic supporters for the match,” the club said.
