Driver reported allegedly doing 114 mph on A96

A 25-year-old man has been reported to the procurator fiscal for allegedly travelling at 114mph on the A96 between Inverness and Nairn.

The car driver was stopped in the Morayhill area on Thursday 22 June at around 8:30pm.

Sgt Donnie Mackinnon said: “Improving road safety is a key priority for us we will continue to target the minority of irresponsible motorists who choose to drive in a manner which presents a danger to themselves and others.

“Where necessary this will include enforcement activity.”
