Two rescued from fishing boat in difficulty
Two men were rescued after a fishing boat encountered difficulties in the North Sea yesterday.
The fishermen called out coastguards when they were about half a mile off the coast of Stonehaven in Aberdeenshire.
Two RNLI crews were scrambled to the scene to take them back to dry land.
An Aberdeen Coastguard spokeswoman said the emergency services were contacted at about 8:06am and reached the two men quickly.
She said: “The Stonehaven and Montrose lifeboats attended along with two coastguard teams.”
