- By EMMA NEWLANDS

Tidal power specialist Atlantis Resources said it has broken an investment platform’s opening day subscription record with a bond launch.

The firm, which has offices in Edinburgh, said it exceeded the £1 million subscription level within 24 hours of the formal launch of the five-year bond via the Abundance Investment platform.

“This represents a new subscription record for offerings launched via Abundance, the provider of a regulated green peerto-peer investment platform,” Atlantis said.

The company also noted that the bond aims to raise a minimum of £2m and maximum of £5m, and is expected to close on or before 16 August.

Atlantis chief executive Tim Cornelius said the record “reflects the outstanding demand for the Atlantis Ocean Bond offer and I am absolutely thrilled with the response from investors. They clearly recognisetheexcellentgrowth prospects of our business during an extremely exciting juncture in the history of tidal power.”
