Mullen’s crisis management

-

Andrew Mullen is looking forward to being reunited with course specialist Economic Crisis at Hamilton Park, writes Gordon Brown.

The evening card is the annual Saints & Sinners Charity fixture, which dates back to 1965, and has raised a third of the £2 million total the club has gifted to over 100 Scottish charities.

Now trained by Colin Teague, Economic Crisis, who has won seven times at the Lanarkshire track, faces nine rivals in the £12,000 Patersons Of Greenoakhill Handicap over the minimum trip of five furlongs.

East Lothian-born Mullen said: “She loves the course and she is very speedy. She was a very good second at Redcar first time out this season and hopefully another big run at Hamilton is on the cards.”

The other £12,000 event, the British Stallion Studs Captain J C Stewart EBF Fillies Handicap, has attracted a field of ten. They include locally-trained Dark Crystal who has won two of her last three starts at Hamilton Park and Ayr.
