Road crash victim named as council worker

Police Scotland have named a man who died in a road accident in Orkney on Wednesday as Keith Johnston.

Mr Johnston, 52, an Orkney Islands council worker from Dounby, died in a collision on the A967 at Twatt.

Inquiries into the circumstan­ces of the incident are ongoing.

Road Policing Sergeant Angus Murray said: “Our thoughts are with Mr Johnston’s family at this sad time.”
