Royal couple pay tribute to Canadian military
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall have paid tribute to the scores of Canadian military who died while on operations in Afghanistan.
Charles and Camilla yesterday laid a floral tribute at a national memorial in Trenton, near Toronto, in honour of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
The royal couple, who are on a three-day tour of Canada, laid a wreath in the shape of the Prince of Wales’s feathers with a note, hand written by the heir to the throne, which said In Grateful Remembrance.
As a bugler played the last post, the prince and duchess stood still, then observed a minute’s silence as four service personnel stood guard with their heads bowed.
