Labour Answer = Blame the SNP. School spending is controlled by local authoritie­s. Most are Labour controlled. Local authoritie­s elected not to invest, then blame the SNP. That is why the SNP are now bypassing the local authoritie­s, which are mostly full of useless second-rate jobsworths

The answer to fixing the education system is NOT to keep throwing more money at it. Schools have facilities these days that children of 20+ years ago could only dream of. We need to get back to basics. How, in this day and age, can children leave primary school without basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills? If you can’t get that right then you can’t get anything right.
