Man in serious condition after car park assault

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being assaulted in a Glasgow car park.

Police were called to the incident in Howard Street, near the St Enoch Centre, at about 7.30pm on Saturday.

Emergency services attended and the man was taken to the Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he remains in a serious condition.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances.” The car park is near restaurants and pubs, and could remain closed for days.
