Man detained after guest house robbery

A 25-year-old man has been detained in relation to an alleged robbery at a guest house on the Isle of Skye.

Police said that the incident occurred at the Marmalade Hotel on Home Farm Road in Portree yesterday.

Authorities said a low three-figure sum was stolen around 4:50am before being recovered.

A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal in due course.
