Engineering consultancy rebrands as part of WSP

- By EMMA NEWLANDS

A professional engineering services consultancy with nearly 200 staff in Scotland has rebranded in line with its parent company.

Mouchel has changed its name to WSP across all UK offices, following its acquisition last year by WSP Parsons Brinckerhoff, which revealed its new identity earlier this year.

The group said that since January, all WSP and Mouchel employees have been working under a new structure in the UK, headed by Edinburgh-based UK chief executive Mark Naysmith. Key members of the Mouchel team have taken on senior positions in the new WSP structure, including Miles Barnard becoming WSP’S UK chief financial officer.

Mouchel is involved in projects including the A9 dualling Dalraddy to Inverness and improvements to the M8, M73 and M74 motorways. It has also worked on the likes of Glasgow 2014 Athlete’s Village.

Naysmith said the organisation is 7,000-strong across the UK and Ireland, and has “significant opportunity to win and work on world-class projects”.
