Biomass firm eyes growth after major investment
A biomass heating firm based in Fort William has revealed its plans for expansion following a major cash injection.
Hwenergy said Aggregated Micro Power Holdings (AMP) has become its majority shareholder after a “significant investment into the company”.
The Scottish firm, which has 45 staff, an additional office in Belshill and was founded in 2003, said this means it will be able to “grow the breadth and depth of their offering to new customers, as well as increase their geographical spread, while remain as an independent and standalone business”.
It added that it will be business as usual for its Scottish operations, but it will be able to offer finance for larger biomass installations via Energy Services Company finance services in partnership with AMP. Hwenergy managing director Bruno Berardelli said the company believes the relationship with AMP “provides an extremely exciting range of opportunities for our clients, our company and all of our stakeholders”.
