Girl’s funeral will be ‘a celebration of Eileidh’

Plans are being made to give a five-year-old girl who “married” her best friend a send-off “fit for a princess” after she lost her battle with cancer.

Eileidh Paterson touched hearts across the world after fulfilling her bucket list goal of “marrying” her best friend Harrison Grier, six.

Eileidh, from Forres, Moray,wasdiagnosedwith neuroblastoma when she was just two and died on Saturday.

Her mother Gail said the funeral next week would be “as special as she was”.

“It will be a celebration of Eileidh,” she added.
