Iconic Dundee mills to become pair of hotels

Two iconic mills at a historic site in Dundee are being revived as part of a major regeneration project.

The disused Bell Mill and North Mill at the former Baxter Brothers jute mill site are being turned into two hotels set to open in 2018, which will be managed by hospitality company Focus Hotels Management.

The project is taking place in partnership with Intercontinental Hotels Group and developers Percor Capital, and will see the architectural legacy of the buildings faithfully restored, working closely with Historic Scotland.

Hotel Indigo Dundee, comprising 102 guest rooms, and the 85-room Staybridge Suites Dundee will form a key part of the city’s waterfront regeneration initiative, headed by the V&A Museum of Design.
