Dubara to make amends

- By GLENDALE

Dubara let down favourite backers last time out but should be given chance to redeem herself in the 188Bet Handicap at Yarmouth. The three-year-old was stepping up to 10 furlongs for the first time at Salisbury, having previously run up to a mile, but she hindered her chances when breaking slowly and was left in last place.

Admittedly, when Dubara made her move to the front, it appeared to be a promising run but having given her six rivals a bit of a start, Luca Cumani’s charge ran out of gas in the dying strides.

She was eventually beaten three-quarters of a length and a 4lb hike for that run, while far from ideal, is possibly fair as she did make up a chunk of ground.

Working Class is worth a small wager in the Read Silvestre De Sousa At 188Bet Median Auction Maiden Stakes, with Peter Chapple-hyam’s charge turning in an eyecatching effort in finishing third on his seasonal debut two weeks ago.
