Lidl starts work on warehouse for 789 workers

Construction work has started on a new supermarket warehouse in North Lanarkshire that will create up to 360 new jobs.

The Lidl regional distribution centre at Eurocentral will be one of the company’s largest in the UK and is expected to be completed by winter 2019.

It will replace Lidl’s current warehouse in Livingston, West Lothian, which has 429 employees.

All jobs from the Livingston site will be transferred to Eurocentral on its completion, resulting in a workforce of up to 789 people.
