B&M cashes in on discount hunters

Discount retailer B&M has notched up its best first-quarter sales for three years as it continues to attract cash-strapped shoppers to its stores.

The firm saw sales grow 18.3 per cent to £656.3 million in the three months to 30 June. UK like-for-like sales grew 7.3 per cent, a trading update revealed.
