Arnason signs for Aberdeen

Iceland international Kari Arnason has completed his return to Aberdeen.

The 34-year-old, who can play in central midfield or defence, has signed a one-year contract five years after leaving Pittodrie for Rotherham.

Arnason joins from Omonia Nicosia and he could be heading back to Cyprus soon after the Dons were handed a potential tie against Apollon Limassol or Moldovan outfit Zaria Balti in the third qualifying round of the Europa League. They will first have to oust Siroki Brijeg in Bosnia.
