Teen attacked and mugged for wallet

Police are hunting two “despicable” robbers who assaulted a teenager and stole his wallet.

The 19-year-old was targeted in a “violent attack” by the youths in the early hours of Friday in Paisley, Renfrewshire.

The incident took place at 12.30am in the town’s Montgomery Road, with the attackers believed to have run off in the direction of Renfrew Road.

The victim suffered facial injuries in the incident, but did not require hospital treatment.

Police Scotland said both men were aged between 16 and 17.
