Security tight for Scotland v England

Security has been tightened at the Women’s European Football Championships in the Netherlands, where Scotland will today take on England in Utrecht.

Intelligence agencies are thought to have intercepted messages among Islamic extremists calling for lone wolves to target the tournament, which began on Sunday.

Local security services have played down a specific threat to the match between Scotland and England but policing has been tightened for the fixture.
