Twitter marked the 48th anniversar­y of man first landing on the moon. The lunar module Eagle touched down on the satellite at 8.18pm on July 20, with Neil Armstrong becoming the first man to walk on the moon in the early hours of July 21. @danjswartz said: “48 yrs ago, I was six and sitting in front of our TV watching the first man on the moon. Gives me chills today...” @Hampshirec­at added: “Americans walked on the Moon in the late 60s/early 70s. But why has no one gone back?
