Love all together
Clark Cross (Letters, 20 July) asks “why should women not play five sets [at Wimbledon] as the men do? Equality?”
True equality is a step further – abolish gender-specific competition completely, simply by having one singles competition for both genders, vying for the trophy of champion tennis player. The fact is that no woman would get past the first round. That is why women want to pick and choose when, and when not, to be equal.
